Time is our most precious resource, especially when we’re on vacation!
To make the most of your time in Yellowstone National Park, let Brian work with you to craft your own private, bespoke Yellowstone photo adventure, designed and guided exclusively for photographers by a professional, Yellowstone-based photographer.

Yellowstone is so much more than the world’s first national park! It’s a magical place with grand, sweeping landscapes of mountains, geysers, and majestic wildlife. It’s a super volcano, the core of the 22 million-acre Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE), the largest intact ecosystem in the lower 48, the headwaters of six major rivers whose waters ultimately flow to both the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, a refuge for endangered wildlife, the location for hundreds of scientific research projects studying a vast array of subjects. And, of course, a bucket list destination for nature, landscape, and wildlife photographers from all over the globe!

You’ll capture the magic and grandeur of Yellowstone National Park on your tour, personally led by Brian, a professional naturalist and nature photographer who has been seeking out and exploring exceptional natural treasures across North America for over 30 years. A journey that began and continues in Yellowstone.

Each of our tours is bespoke and tailored to suit your interests and objectives. We will go where you want to go and shoot what you want to shoot (within reason, of course). Whichever genre of photography you shoot, we offer nearly unlimited choices for photographers of all skill levels. Based on your interests and available time, you can select tours ranging from half a day to several days in length.  You must book multiday tours with us directly, contact us for details.

If you are already an accomplished photographer and want us to guide you to iconic landscapes and wildlife, we can do that!

If you want to learn new or polish existing photographic skills we can help you with that as well. Brian can provide expert advice and instruction from basic through advanced techniques in digital and film photography including equipment selection and use, composition, color theory, exposure, and specialized techniques for landscape, wildlife, night sky, macro, and travel photography. Just ask. The better we understand what you want to accomplish the better your experience will be.

Offerings

All experiences are customized to meet your needs, but most have a few things in common.

Full-Day Tours

Year around, 8 – 12+ hours, 1 – 4 people, $1495 / day.
Special Black Friday Price for the first 20 reservations! $1095 / day

We typically begin well before sunrise and go until we call a lunch break (generally 2-3 hours). We provide picnic-style lunch and dinner or you can choose to eat on your own at a facility in the park or a gateway community. Lunch breaks are generally longer in the summer, such as noon until 2 or 3 PM because harsh mid-day light is less interesting than morning or evening light, and because most wildlife takes a siesta at mid-day.  The afternoon generally runs until after sunset when we return to our original meeting place. The days in winter are shorter so we adjust accordingly.  We will discuss and set our schedule for your tour with you before you get here.

Half-Day Tours

Year around, ~ 5 hours, 1 – 4 people, $695 / half-day
Special Black Friday Price for the first 20 reservations! $495 / day

Our half-day workshops are the same as morning or afternoon sessions of a full-day tour, but we will discuss this with you before your arrival.  We’re very flexible and want you to have the best experience possible.

Multi-Day Tours

Year around, 1 – 4 people, priced individually
To discuss please email us directly at info@briancreek.com.

These are completely open.  We will work directly with you to craft the photography adventure of a lifetime.

General

We enter the park from Gardiner, Montana for all of our tours. We can also meet you at Mammoth Hot Spring or Tower Junction. All other meeting locations in the park are possible with advanced notice. A small additional fee may apply.

Tours are limited to no more than 4 participants to maintain our high standard of individual attention.  Participants must be at least 16 years of age.  We will be in a full-sized SUV with plenty of room for you and your gear.

We follow all local and National Park Service laws and regulations, especially as they relate to your safety and the safety of other park visitors and park resources. We require that you do so as well when in our care.

Yellowstone National Park is the heart of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE), the largest remaining tract of wilderness and the largest intact ecosystem in the lower 48 at around 22 million acres.  Conditions change by the minute, the weather and terrain can be extreme, distances are vast, we aren’t at the top of the food chain, and you need to be prepared in the expectations, attitude, equipment, and clothing that you bring.  We will not be climbing any mountains or fording raging rivers, and we can accommodate many fitness or mobility restrictions, but we do not have vehicles that are H/C accessible and most of the places where we will get out of the vehicle are rustic. Please plan accordingly and communicate your needs to us before booking. We are happy to make reasonable accommodations where we can.

Workshops

Workshops will be scheduled for set dates and cover topics such as fall colors, waterfalls, or winter wildlife.  We will advertise these well in advance on our social media accounts and will provide early registration opportunities for those on our email list. Class sizes will be limited.

What is your dream Yellowstone photography adventure? We’d love to work with you to craft an experience to make that dream a reality!

4th of July Week and Summer Holiday Weekends ~ A Note

Unless there is a once-in-a-lifetime natural occurrence happening, we do not like to go into the park with clients during the 4th of July Week or on Memorial Day or Labor Day weekends.  Your time and money are not wisely spent stuck in gridlock traffic or visiting iconic locations where parking is impossible and crowds of visitors are packed in like sardines.  Trust us on this one.

If you will only be in the region during these times and are fully aware of the pitfalls please contact us to discuss options.  Ultimately, it’s your choice. 🙂
